Theoule Sur Mer - a Hidden Gem

When most people think of the Cote D’Azur they picture Cannes, St Tropez, Monaco, Antibes but few will mention Theoule-sur-Mer. However, this little village about 20 minutes west of Cannes is, in my opinion, one of the Riviera’s best – kept secrets!

Fresh Mountain Air in the Beautiful Val D'Allos

This family hike (or short walk) is located in the stunning mountain area of Val d’Allos with the Lac D’Allos being the beautiful focal point. There is no road – access to the lake so it is a lovely peaceful spot to spend an afternoon.  It can only be done in the summer months due to its location at an altitude well over 2,000m but this also makes for fresher air when the coast is stiflingly hot.

It's Apple Picking Time!

The height of summer is over, the sun has done her job, autumn is almost upon us and it’s the season to harvest. Not only are the grapes ready but the apples are also in abundance and are begging to be picked.

L’Ecluse in Pegomas – Walk, Play & Eat By the River

Only 15 minutes from Cannes there is a little corner of paradise where you can go for a family stroll along the riverbanks, try a slightly more strenuous walk up to the beautiful village of Auribeau-Sur-Siagne, splash about in the river, try your hand at a bit of fishing and top it off with a lovely lunch, dinner or drinks in a wonderfully idyllic setting.

Summer Boat Shuttle Along the Coast

When the summer heat and crowds on the coast get too much there are few better ways to escape it all than to get out on the water. Whilst hiring a luxury yacht for a day may be the ultimate dream, it is not necessarily within budget for every family. A great new alternative to experience the coastline from the sea has been launched this year with the introduction of a summer navette (boat shuttle) running along the coast from Cannes to Mandelieu/La Napoule to Theoule-Sur-Mer and on to La Figuerette.
