Pre des Pitchouns - A Fun-Filled Day for the Whole Family.

This activity filled play-park nestled in a valley near Auribeau-sur-Siagne is a great value day out for all the family. It features games and activities galore, a small petting farm and in the summer months a water park area. There is age-specific entertainment and even plenty for the adults to get stuck into as well.

A Family-Friendly Walking Tour To Discover Antibes

Whenever we have visitors from out-of-town, one of our favourite places to take them is Antibes. Located about 30 minutes drive from Cannes, or a very easy train or bus ride away, it’s a great little town with loads to see-and-do for all ages. It’s got an old town with history, a harbour with superyachts galore, a fort, a fantastic Picasso museum, a superb Provencal market, a café with chocolate walls and even an Absinthe bar (!) – what’s not to love?!

The French Riviera's Two Main Waterparks

A day out at a water park is often on most families ‘to-do’ list when they are on holiday and here in the Riviera we have two big ones to choose from. They are not on the scale of some of the fantastic parks that the USA or even Spain has to offer but they can still make for a really good day out.

The two main water parks in the French Riviera are Aquasplash in Antibes and Aqualand in Frejus. Both parks are about 30 minutes drive from Cannes one going east (Aquasplash) and one west (Aqualand)

Family Visit to an Educational Farm

A lot of families with young children often ask if there are any farms in the area that you can take young children to visit and here I will introduce you to a lovely one that you will find up in Saint Cezaire-Sur-Siagne called Terre de Soleil.

It is an association run by volunteers who are all impassioned about animals and their welfare as well as sustainable living. It is a really great place for children to visit and both parents and children alike learned a lot during our guided visit.

I am not sure I should even be writing this blog….. it’s my husband’s favourite place and family day out in the French Riviera so he’d much rather I didn’t share it with you all, but anyway….!

Away from the hustle and bustle of the coast is a beautiful man-made lake which is home to lots of wildlife as well as enough activities on land and on water to keep the family entertained for hours.
